Alcuin School is committed to the safety of its students, faculty, staff and parents. All access to the campus will be through the main entrance in the Administration Building. All visitors must register in the Front Office in the Administration Building and obtain a visitor’s name tag. It is necessary for all visitors to obtain a name tag to wear while on campus, alerting all students and staff of your identification.
Any parent on campus visiting a classroom must check in with the receptionist who will notify the classroom before the parent may proceed to the classroom.
Any visitor to our campus will be required to sign in at the Front Office and wear a name tag while on campus. Those without a name tag will be escorted back to the Front Office by School staff in order to obtain one.
In the event of an emergency, the school has specific guidelines to follow depending on the type of occurrence. Any parent or guest on campus during such emergency will be expected to follow the school’s emergency guidelines as explained by Alcuin staff. Any concerns about security should be directed to the Head of School.
Visitors and students are not to access buildings or classrooms after 4 pm unless there is a scheduled meeting with a guide or other staff.
Students under the age of 18 will not be released to anyone unless they are a parent, guardian or on the Pick-up Authorization form. Alcuin staff will not release students being picked up by Uber, LYFT, cabs or taxis unless an authorized adult is in the vehicle also.
To deter the presence of prohibited contraband on campus, an outside company will provide random patrolling of the perimeter of the campus, as well as campus hallways where student lockers are located, during the school year.
