The Environmental Protection Agency’s “Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1987” requires an annual notice to the school community (workers, occupants or their legal guardians) regarding building material which may contain asbestos that is located in school buildings. There is a limited amount of asbestos on the Alcuin School campus, which is confined to areas not accessible by students or faculty. The areas are inspected and maintained to meet all EPA regulations that govern the health and well-being of the building’s occupants. Questions regarding the Asbestos Management Plan should be directed to the Director of Facilities.
