No Pass No Play Policy - Middle Years and Diploma Programme students may participate in athletic, extracurricular and co-curricular events (referred to as “events” hereafter) if they have a score of 3 or higher in all of their courses at the October, January and March grading periods.
In the instance a student does not have a score of 3 or higher, the student will be unable to participate in events until the weekly report completed by the teachers and provided by the Associate Head of Upper School or the Head of Middle School shows that the student has returned their score to a 3 or higher. Athletic coaches or group sponsors may require Upper School students to miss practices in addition to events for tutoring, in order to bring their score up to a 3 or higher.
Should a student need to miss class due to an event, they are expected to communicate with their teachers at least 24 hours in advance and follow up with their teachers on the first day of their return to school. Students are expected to see all of their teachers upon their return, regardless if they have them for class that day.
Upper School students may be permitted to participate in multiple sports during one athletic season with approval from the Associate Head of Upper School.
