Family Email Addresses – Alcuin School offers primarily a web-based communication
system for our newsletters, announcements and calendar. Please be sure your contact
information is current. You may log into the website and update your information yourself or
forward it on to our Database/Web Manager (email@example.com) who can
update this for you. Current contact information for your family in our database ensures that
you will receive the most updated information about the school and its programs and events
on a regular basis.
Website - www.alcuinschool.org - The school website includes information for both
external and internal audiences. Information for the external audience does not require you
to log in. In order to see your child’s class page, class roster, assignments, attendance,
grades/progress, the master calendar, etc., you must log in to the school portal. If you are
having difficult logging in, please contact the Database/Website Manager
Weekly Newsletter – The Advancement Office prepares and distributes a digital weekly
newsletter to all parents and staff for whom we have updated emails in the database. The
newsletters contain upcoming events, details and reminders about happenings at the school,
changes in school calendar, etc. Reading the Weekly Newsletter is a great way to stay
informed as well as learning about what’s going on at Alcuin campus wide.
Enews - A newsletter is issued via email from the Advancement Office containing important
school information as well as announcements about members of the Alcuin School
community. All families must have a current email on file with the school to receive this
newsletter. The newsletter is also posted on the website.
Facebook and Twitter – Postings to Facebook and Twitter are an ever occurring event at
Alcuin School. You can access our sites directly from the icons found on our home page or
you can search for Alcuin School on both mediums. “Like us” so our postings will reach a far
greater audience. Offering comments also boosts are positioning with Google.
Head of School Letters - The Head of School will communicate to the Alcuin School
community periodically through letter sent via email, posted on the website or through
Notes Magazine - The Advancement Office produces an annual issue of Notes , our school magazine containing information about general happenings around the school and in the greater Alcuin School community. The issue is sent in June annually.
Announcements - Special announcements are sent via email or posted on the website on
an as needed basis.
Phone and Text Announcements - On occasion, the school may use an automated system
to communicate with parents via phone or text message to make important announcements
to the general community.
