Finding Your Way Around
When you arrive at check-in, you will receive a map of the campus with your grandchild’s/special friend’s classrooms marked on it and a copy of the schedule for the morning. Signs will be posted around campus to help you find your way to key destinations. There will also be student ambassadors, staff, and parent volunteers to provide assistance.
Golf Carts are available to transport those who may need assistance getting from one end of campus to the other. The carts will loop continuously and can be accessed in the front parking zone and various locations on campus.
Refreshments will be served in the Aerobics Room of the Community Building, the Galbraith Building, and the West Wing. Generally we serve coffee, juices, pastries, cheeses and fruit.
Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to visit our annual Book Fair in the Wyly Performing Arts Center (the round building on campus). Your grandchild/special friend may attend the Book Fair with you to see our wonderful displays or perhaps buy a book.
An annual favorite, photo buttons will be taken in the Underhill Library in the Community Building. You are welcome to wear your photo button on campus, but we ask that you please not give the photo button to your grandchild/special friend until after school. Not all students will have a visitor on this day and, therefore, will not have a photo button made.
Upper Elementary students can participate in America’s Oral History Project with their Grandparent or Special Friend upstairs in the Galbraith Building.
Students may go home with their Grandparent or Special Friend if a note has been sent to the teacher from the child’s parents.
